Biography
Dai Yu was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, in December 1977. He received his doctorate in science from the Department of Astronomy at Nanjing University in 2005. From 2007 to 2009, he was engaged in post-doctoral research at the Institute of Astrophysics in Paris (IAP). He now serves as an associate professor in astrophysics at the School of Astronomy and Space Science, Nanjing University.

Research Interests
Professor Dai Yu’s research focuses on the hydrodynmic/magnetohydrodynamic process in solar activities, including hydrostatic modeling of solar equilibrium coronal loops, thermal evolution of solar flare loops, and propagtion of large-scale solar coronal waves.
