Personal introduction Biography

I am Mengke Zhao, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Nanjing University. I received my Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory (XAO), CAS in 2024.

My research primarily focuses on theoretical and observational studies of the Interstellar Medium (ISM) and Star Formation. I investigate the dynamic coupling mechanisms between turbulence, magnetic fields, and gravity across multiple scales. My targets of interest include molecular clouds, massive star-forming regions, and nearby galaxies.

Additionally, I am dedicated to interdisciplinary research in AI for Astronomy. I explore the use of non-linear algorithms, such as Constrained Diffusion Models, to reconstruct the physical fields of the ISM. Adopting an "Equation vs. AI" perspective, I also investigate the interpretability of generative models within physical scenarios.
