Biography
Li Zhiyuan received his bachelor and master degrees in Astronomy at Nanjing University, and his Ph.D. in astrophysics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He worked at Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics as a postdoc researcher and the Department of Physics & Astronomy at UCLA as an assistant researcher. He became a Professor of Astronomy at Nanjing University since 2013.

Research Interests
Zhiyuan's research is mainly focused on high-energy astrophysics in the local universe, benefiting from a multi-wavelength approach, and more recently, hydrodynamic simulations. He is also a keen user and developer of space-based astronomical facilities.
